Met Gala 2023: The best-dressed list

The most anticipated fashion event of the year never seems to disappoint! The Met Gala was once again held at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and, this year, the prestigious event honoured the extraordinary legacy of the late designer Karl Lagerfeld. As expected, the impressive guest list included A-list names that paid homage to the late Chanel Creative Director with incredible ensembles that honoured the Lagerfeld signature look. From pearl ornaments to black bows and tweeds, to the iconic Chanel bridal dresses and Lagerfeld’s personal style to his adored pet, Choupette.

The event included memorable fashion moments like Nicole Kidman in the unforgettable pink Chanel couture gown that Lagerfeld custom designed for her back in 2004, when she starred in a Chanel No 5 commercial directed by Baz Luhrmann. But, of course, the highlight of the night was the arrival of the Met Gala royal couple, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky. The Barbados singer wore a heavenly Valentino white gown with a floral cocoon cape – paying homage to the iconic Chanel camellias – and Rocky stunned in a complete Gucci look, with a black blazer, kilt and bedazzled jeans. Of course, they made our best-dressed list!
